On my second day in LA, we went to Disneyland and California Adventure Park. Both parks are MARVELOUS. I cannot tel lyou how much fun i have had in them despite all the time we have wasted getting in LONG lines and waited for at least an hour for some famous rides! The saddest thing, however, was that i forgot to charge my camera the night before! so i only got to take some pictures of Disneyland and the California Adventure park. But I have to tell you...you must go to Disneyland. MUST!!! IT is where dreams come true and fairytales become reality. My favourite in Disneyland was the "It's A Small World" ride. Oh my gosh..it was gorgeous!!!! Also, the scariest ride ever is the Hollywood Tower of Terror in California Adventure Park. That was the scariest ride EVER!!! While i was waiting in line to get on, a girl next to me was asking if i know how scary it is. And i said i have no idea. Then she got so anxious and told me how scary and how tall the building is. She made me almost chicken out of that ride but Rory seized me and made me go on it. Julie was so courageous because she was not scared at all! We went on i don't remember how many rides but i can count...hmm..we went the California Screamin' Roller Coaster, the Matterhorn, Soarin' over California, the Space ride, the Space Mountain, the Honey I Shrunk the Audience 3D show, the Haunted Mansion, Tarzan's treehouse, Winnie The Pooh ride, Malliboomer, and the Golden Zephyr. When i first came into the Disneyland, the street down to the Fantasyland was soooooo gorgeous! It looks like Diagon Alley in Harry Potter movies. Every shop is designed to look like palaces and enchanted houses. I really don't feel like coming out of the Disneyland at all!!!! There was a parade going on too. I saw Princess Jasmine, Aladdin, Snow White, Cinderella, the Mermaid who was sitting on top of a parade car and trying to hard to flip it's tail all the time, which was hilarious!!! Of course, we saw Mickey and Minnie, Donald and Daisy, Pluto, Max and his father (argh..i can't think of his name!!). The parade was gorgeous too!!! There were so many people though and i only got to see half of it because we were trying ot avoid the people and went lining up at some other place. At night, there was a brilliant fireworks show called the "Believe...in Holiday Magic". I had never seen such gorgeous fireworks before. It was so much bigger and lots of patterns too. It went on for about 5 minutes. But it was spectacular and it snows!!!!!! Fake snows, of course. LA rarely snows. But i was excited! About midnight, there was another big show on the river in Disneyland where a skit was going on. It was about Mickey using magic to defeat the villain, the dragon in Sleeping Beauty. This show is amazing. They projected the magic mirror in the air..IN THE AIR!!!! You see a magic mirror talking in the air!!! and then when the dragon was poof fire, the whole river got on fire...i mean fire on water!!!! It was just ...amazingly amazing!! It was beautiful when all the princesses and princes came out on a cruise ship dancing and waving at us. Oh my gosh...this is really a dream come true. I am sooo sorry i have no more pictures of those events...but truly you gotta experience it yourselves!
This video is not mine but it is exactly what i saw and experienced in Disneyland. The "It's A Small World" ride, the fireworks, and the parade. It was awesome!!!
When i arrived in LA, Rory came and picked me up from the gigantic airport! LAX is enormous!!!!!!!! Scary big! It was freezing cold outside and we stayed in the car driving around LA while waiting for Julie to arrive at night. I have never seen so big of a freeway before!!! The traffic was outrageous! We were caught in the jam for hours!!! So we just sat in the car looking at the people in other cars trying to find the mexicans since Rory thought i had never seen a mexicano before. And we were arguing about the Native american Indians and the Indian people. Oh well..most of my first day passed on the freeway getting lost and so on. But it was a lot of fun because i got to see SOO many bizzare things, such as we had to stopped at a traffic light and wait for a TRAIN to pass by. A ballistic long cargo train....yes..in the middle of the road. Weird!!!! And we went around Orange County, and downtown LA. We saw the LA temple close to Hollywood area. And we drove Yorba Linda to Rory's friend's house and crashed there for an hour or two on their couch...no was was at home and the door wasn't locked, so we just let ourselves in. The house didn't have a heater and we were literally freezed to sleep. I guess i get a glimpse of what hibernation is all about. Later, we went to the LAX to pick up Julie. But i think we got lost and went to a ghetto place and Rory got really scared. He was talking about the gang-bangers and he freaked me out too. But i saw some really cool places around that area. I saw a CASINO!!! Brilliant! And i can't believe he told me he went to the Las Vegas Casino and gambled...once. But he won 500 dollars..so...i can forgive him of that. hahaa...Anyways, LA is really beautiful at night. There are flights coming in every few minutes. You can always see 4 or 5 airplanes on the sky coming in to LAX. And what was scary was that the airport runway was so close to the freeway that while we were stuck in the traffic, a flight which was landing flew over our car and i mean literally flew OVER...it seemed like it was just a few inch above the car and we could hear the loud engine so clearly and felt the car shook as it flew past us. And when i looked out...i can see the bottom part of the airplane sooooooo closely i felt like it was just right on my head.
My first LA/ New Year trip begins on the night of 27th of December. I went with nervousness and excitement. Flying to LA alone is scary!!! But knowing that i would be on the flight for only 5 hours, it made me feel so much better. I could still remember coming here to Hawaii and it took 17 hours!!! But i truly don't like plane trip because it is so boring inside and i could not sleep at all. My flight was from 11.35pm Honolulu time and when i reached LA it was 6am there. The temperature change was drastic too. From 77 here to 50 there! It was freezing cold when i reach LA! So this is my first day of this 8 day trip.
