Holy Places

Human beings are like their creator, God. In what ways are they alike? Many. But one very important similarity, or, may i suggest, inheritance, is the ability to create, to design. Human has created many many things in the world and many inventions are still in the process. We are also super good at designing and making things beautiful. We especially love to make the places where we worship God (for Christians), Buddha (for Buddhists) and many gods and goddesses (Greek, Hindu, Buddhists and others) beautiful. In my travel experiences, I have been to places where I was just astounded by the beauty, creativity, magnificence, and size of the religious buildings, such as St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City, Wat Pho and Wat Arun in Thailand, and Salt Lake Temple in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As human beings, we love to dedicate and build beautiful buildings for our gods. We do this for many reasons, but the most important and the main reason should be for the purpose of worship and perform sacred ordinances that cannot be performed else where. I love looking at the magnificent interior design of the temples and churches. I also love the wonderful architecture of the buildings. I think that in the midst of creating, designing, and building these sacred buildings, the effort and the love for the Beings that we build these holy places for are what make us like our creator.

Just a few examples of my favorite religious buildings on earth

Wat Arun, The Temple of the Dawn (Buddhist)

St. Patrick's Cathedral, NYC (Catholics)

Salt Lake City temple, Utah (The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints)
