Story # 166: Messing with these...

I didn't make these (I am still a sucker at Adobe Illustrator), but I changed somethings on the original images to make them look how they look now. Any suggestions?

The first thing I did when I woke up this morning was to kiss my husband in the forehead and said good morning. No. To run downstairs to cook breakfast. No. To use the bathroom and then clog it. No, although that was what I did few days ago.

Sorry to keep you guessing. Anyways, the first thing I did when I woke up this morning was to grab my laptop, put it on my lap, and open a file with Adobe Photoshop. I was halfway through my project last night so I had to finish it today. Unfortunately, I still don't have it done all the way today. But I made a big progress and learned a lot of new things.

It took me...hmm...more than 5 hours to just change the image that I took using screenshot. I often see people with really nice blog template and wonder how they do it. I know that hiring a designer would save me a lot of time but I would be spending tons of $ also. I consulted with my web-designer husband and my friend, Doreen (who has wonderful ideas about photoshop) and decided I would try to make one on my own.

I guess looking for the right picture took the most time. Then it was the modifying and adding in stuff. I have very little experience with Photoshop so I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to do things, with a lot of help from Leighton, of course. Though it was frustrating to experience trials and errors, I am happy to say that my knowledge has been expanded and I have been edified by the wonderful invention--the Internet. I found and imported a lot of free brushes and patterns Photoshop. I learned that there aren't just one way to do things, there are many ways to do one simple thing, such as changing hair color can have 3 or 4 different ways to do it. Oh, I also learn how to open .sit and .bin files on mac. Woohoo! I imported many nice fonts from the Internet too.

I never knew I could have so much fun with Photoshop. I think it rocks! I also think that I would be very happy to spend hours in front of my computer to "mess" with Photoshop because I'm gonna learn it and be a master of it, someday.

First thing I did when I woke up: Kiss my Wife. Second thing I did: Grab my Laptop and start filling out her Adjustment of Status Forms for her (5 Forms in all!!!!) because her Mac can't view the .pdf files properly :(
