Story # 182: Fashion Designers

I was watching Australia's Next Top Model cycle 4 the other day. I watched the whole cycle in a day. It took like 7 hours. My butt was sore from laying in bed all day, watching the show on YouTube.

I am not sure why I don't like America's Next Top Model as much. I like the Australian's accent. Also, they usually have a lot of younger girls, which in my opinion, is more fun to watch (a lot more pranks going on). Anyways, that was not the point. I realized that I actually love Alex Perry's design a lot. I never really paid any attention to him as the judges on the show before. However, in cycle 4, his show during the Australian's Fashion Week was fabulous. I totally love ALL of the dresses he designed. I totally digg him now.

I can't afford high-end fashion but I certainly can admire those super expensive clothing and their respective designers. I don't fall in love with brand as much as I fall for the products designed. There aren't many fashion designers that I like. I am not a fan of Gucci or Chanel (though they are classy and high-end, their design is, in my opinion, more suitable for older people), though I certainly think that they have some designs that I like.

However, I am a huge fan of Betsey Johnson. She designed fun, colorful, cute dresses that are all attention-grabbing.

I am also a fan of Zac Posen now. After watching P.S. I Love You and finding out that the beautiful green dress Hillary Swank was wearing was by Posen, I am on the lookout for everything he designs.

And yes, Alex Perry, my recent obsession.

Oh...do you think that once you are a fan of someone or something, you just have to buy or learn everything about that person or thing? I don't think I would go that far. What determines the term "fan"? Are there certain things that one should do to qualify as a fan of something?

One last fashion report, one piece swimming suit is totally back! I was lookingfor some one-piece swimming suit the other day and came across an article in ivillage.com saying that one piece swimming suit is back in trend. Yay!! Does that mean more focus on modesty? haha...I am lovin' it.
