Story #225: My First Logo

Hi there,

Sorry for not posting any blog posts for a while now. I've been busy with school, and our trip up north during the weekend (more on that later). Today I just have a quick post about the logo I have designed for my imaginary store (my assignment for my Communication Design class). I had fun coming up with a name for the store and also brainstorming for the logo idea. Thanks to my self-learned photoshop skills (a lot of thank yous to Mr. L, my mentor and my husband, too), I made the logo pretty quickly without much struggle.

The only struggle I had was on using Adobe Illustrator. I am no longer stranger to the software but I am still not very confident in using it. Anyways, check it out and give me some feedback and critiques.

My imaginary store is a bridal shop selling and renting wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses, prom dresses, gowns for special events, and tuxedos and suits. The store is called "Bride Idea." I used my own wedding picture as the model and make it into a silhouette image on illustrator so that it looks stylized. That's pretty much it. I hope you like it. Perhaps I can open a store like this in the future :)

I really love that second logo picture!

I think you should totally open a real store like that. How fun would that be?!
