This past Tuesday we went up to Brian Head ski resort to snowboard. It was so much fun! It was my first time doing this so I was really excited. I knew I would have sores all over my body and I was right. I still have a hard time lifting my arms and legs.
The most exciting part about snowboardning was going down the slope really really fast. There's no stopping once the board goes. Of course, you can always slow down and turn and stop if you know how. I usually just use my hands to stop...and fall. The snowboard was soooooo heavy! It was so hard to get up when you fell. I had to use all of my energy just to stand up. I was also so scared to run into the trees along the slope. Luckily, I didn't. I went down what they called the "bunny hill" 4 times with Mr.L and at the last time I went down my board caught the ice and I flipped and fell hard on my back. I hit my head and tailbone in the process too. I was numb for a while and I just laid on the snow to catch my breath. That was enough to keep me from going up the hill again.
Next time I would try skiing instead. At least you don't fall as much and you have the poles to help you. Nonetheless, snowboarding really was a lot of fun!
