Story #325: Disney On Ice

"You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway." Walt Disney.

I usually don't start my post with a quote but this post is special. It's about Mickey Mouse and Disney! I grew up watching Disney cartoons and movies. I remember watching most of the movies in both Mandarin and in English multiple times, and trying to memorize the songs. The one movie that I watched the most was The Little Mermaid. I swear I must have watched it over 50 times. One school break when I was 13 or 14, I was at my dad's house and out of boredom I watched The Little Mermaid over and over every single day when he went to work and I'd got no place to go. Disney Channel was my favorite channel out of the 80 plus channels we got at home.

My first time to Disneyland was with my friends Julie and Rory. It was one of the funnest trip I have taken. I loved Disneyland SO SO much and Mr.L even proposed to me there! I am so excited to visit the magical park again this Christmas with my mom and my sister.

Yesterday, we went to Salt Lake to watch the Disney on Ice show. It was fantastic. Totally worth the money (not that it's expensive) and we got the second row seats too. I almost cried when I saw Mickey and his friends coming out on their skates. That's how passionate I am about Mickey. I've waited for years to see Disney on Ice and it truly was a dream come true (cliche or not).

There were four mini shows of different Disney movies. The first one was Lion King, then Lilo and Stitch, then The Little Mermaid (woohoo~~), and finally, Peter Pan. I loved them all and it was fun to sing along to those familiar songs in the movies, except Lilo and Stitch. I got mostly videos because they did a better job capturing the essence of the show.

go here to view one of my videos too. I had so many more videos but it's super hard to upload them on anywhere! Youtube is especially terrible!
