Story #343: Fall-out Shelter

This morning I got on Facebook and saw Michelle Branch's status talking about the nuclear radiation cloud that has reached Southern California. I started to panic. What if we inhaled the nuclear gas and started growing cancer? What if our babies were born missing an eye or an arm? Or worse, born with 8 arms?!

Then I thought about our food storage. Sadly, we don't really have any food storage. We do have a few bags of potato pearls that can be made into mashed potatoes in less than a minute. But that won't be enough! If we have to stay in the house for more than a month, we'll need to buy bottled water, lots of canned food, lots of grains, lots of frozen food, and lots of medicine. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Utah is too close to California! Maybe I'll just hurry and finish school and move to Florida.

I told Mr.L the news (my source is Michelle Branch) and he said we should build a bomb shelter and live in it for 30 years, like Blast From the Past. Have any of you seen that movie? It's one of my favorite! I watched it so many times and I still laugh about it. But hey, it is not so funny now! If we do have to live in a bomb shelter, I will make sure that I bring lots and lots of movies and download like 100 TV shows and series. I am not watching one movie, upside down for 30 years!

Let's hope everything will be fine in the end and some of us won't end up having alien-like babies.

How is having 8 arms worse than having only one??? If anything, the more arms and hands the better!! (I mean, if the radiation is inevitable...)

And yes, you should move to Florida. But do it now, because we'll only be here for another year!!
