“Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city.” ― George Burns

At the end of June, we went to San Antonio,Texas for a Whiting's family reunion. Aunts, uncles, and cousins from Denver, Salt Lake City, and Houston all gathered at granny and grandpa's house for about a week.  Albeit crowded and at times, loud, we had so much fun! So fun that it made me SO sad to come home!

I think Liam had a great time there too. He met some new people, including his grandpa Zane. It was good to see them bond since we're living so far away from Texas. He was getting a lot of loving from granny, his grandpa Zane, and all the aunts.

Some of my favorite activities during the reunion include spending a day at Morgan's Wonderland, hanging out and eating ice-cream on granny's and grandpa's deck, playing Wits and Wagers for the first time (so fun!), swimming in the pool with the cousins, Barbeque dinner, going to the creek to fish, and going to the peak at grandpa's property to watch the sun set. Indeed, we did a lot in five days!

This is the only 4 generation picture we got.

I love this deck!

Fishing at the creek

These fish were starving, it was so easy to hook one!

Exploring and skipping rocks

My fish is tiny!

This is my favorite picture!!

Don't worry, he was strapped in.

Getting ready to drive to the peak in grandpa's truck.
I can't believe this truck could fit more than 20 adults and children!

Watching 'The Proposal'

This is what summer is all about! Eating watermelon after swimming in the pool.

This little rascal was dancing on the table!

Saying goodbye to grandpa Zane.
Thanks for inviting us to the family reunion, granny and grandpa! We love Texas and we love you so much!!
